It may just be me, seeing as how I encounter eye wear on a daily basis, but this gives me a great opportunity to talk about the awesome technology we have available to combat this issue!
Anti-reflective lenses (also called "AR coating" or "non-glare coating") not only improve vision and reduce eye strain, but they also make your eyeglasses look more attractive (especially if you're ever on stage or giving a presentation!).
Anti-reflective lenses eliminate reflections from the front and back surfaces of your eyeglass lenses. With reflections gone, more light passes through your lenses to optimize visual acuity with fewer distractions (this is especially helpful for driving at night).
The lenses look nearly invisible in the eyeglass frame— which enhances your appearance by drawing more attention to your eyes and helping you make better eye contact with others.
Non-glare lenses are especially beneficial when used on high-index lenses, which reflect more light than regular plastic and polycarbonate lenses. Many people with high, Coke-bottle prescriptions benefit from high-index lenses, and therefore require non-glare lenses for best vision and overall appearance.
